Today I’m gonna explain you briefly about the most important ones in Meta TAGS. Here’s the list of the things which I’m going to explain you.

1. Title Tag

2. Description Tag

3. Keyword Tag

  • Title Tag

Has been covered pretty well. But here’s the rundown. The Title of your page is one of the most important elements of your web page to get correct. You certainly want to know precisely what Key Phrase you are targeting and be sure to include your Key Phrase in the title.

Make the Title a great enticing headline that will capture your potential customer’s attention. If it’s good enough they might go on to read your description or click on your link

  • Description Meta Tag

The Description Meta Tag is in the HTML header and is where you write your description of the page. You want to include the Keywords here along with a compelling description.

Don’t spam by adding too many incoherent keywords. You want to write interesting copy that’s readable. The search engines will use this in their search engines queries most of the time.

This is your chance to sell yourself and get the customer to click right into your site.

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN” <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=UTF-8″ /> <title>SEO Updates | Daily SEO Updates | Bharath Reddy</title> <meta NAME=”Keywords” Content=”seo updates,daily seo updates, seo tips,seo tricks,bharathreddy”> <meta NAME=”Description” Content=”Daily SEO Updates would get  you the Latest Updates on various methods of Generating Traffic, Link Building Techniques and Tips to get Better Positions in Search Engines..”> <link type=”text/css” rel=”stylesheet” href=”xsp_styles.css”> </head>

The description tag isn’t visible on your website, but sometimes the search engines will use it in their search results description.

  • Keyword Meta Tag

Put in your relevant keywords here. Make sure your main Key Phrase is in here too. Please don’t spam and don’t put any keywords in here that doesn’t appear in your websites content. If you do you could be penalized by the search engines.

The Search Engines may not always use your keyword meta tags to rank but it won’t hurt to add it as long as you do it correctly.
